Aerial Yoga

Come fly with us in our Aerial Yoga Classes!

Aerial Yoga takes your practice to new levels.  Inspired by yoga, pilates, calisthenics, and acrobatics, aerial yoga utilizes a low slung hammock to practice supported poses, allowing you to explore movement that may be inaccessible on the mat.

This fun and playful practice offers numerous benefits, including spinal decompression, hip flexor massage and the ability to gain proper posture and alignment with the support of the hammock.

Join our Aerial Director, Olivia Cecchettini, aka Liv, and our team of amazing teachers and "Liv High in the Sky!"  Your body, mind and spirit will thank you!  No experience necessary.  Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced classes.

*As of August 1, 2016, for your safety, anyone arriving more than 5 minutes late for aerial classes will not be admitted into class.

We also offer after-school classes for kids!

All the benefits of yoga in a safe and playful outside classroom. Aerial yoga provides numerous health benefits for both body and mind.
Children who start healthy habits now will reap the benefits for a lifetime.
Parents and caretakers are invited to enjoy a donation-based mat yoga class at the same time...something for everyone!

Kids (all ages): Tues/Thurs 4pm & Sundays 10:30am

(Teens with experience in this class are welcome to join adult classes!)

PLEASE NOTE: If you reserve a space and don't cancel you will be charged for the class due to limited space/waiting lists.

The aerial deck is outside so classes are weather permitting.

How Should I Prepare For Class?

For the Best Outdoor Aerial Yoga Experience we suggest:

  • If possible, arrive 10-15 minutes early for proper hammock sizing and placement.  Because the teacher adjusts a hammock for each student, we cannot have students arriving more than 10 minutes late to class.  We appreciate your understanding.
  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows for stretching...nothing too baggy that will get in your way.
  • Check the weather before class to match clothing to temperature. Depending on the weather, we suggest sunscreen, long sleeves, yoga/exercise pants, leg warmers, socks and a smile. We usually have both sun and shade available and have heat lamps to keep the deck warm and cozy, but it's always good to be prepared. If it is raining the class will be cancelled.
  • Avoid eating meals 2 hours before your class.
  • Remove all jewelry before class to protect hammocks and yourself  (including rings).
  • Yoga mats are highly encouraged, but we do have them available if you don't have your own.
  • As of August 1, 2016, for your safety, anyone arriving more than 5 minutes late for aerial classes will not be admitted into class.

We strive to create the best flight possible, so after hanging with us, please tell us what you think!

Do I need yoga experience?

No, you do not need any yoga or aerial yoga experience. If you are new to aerial yoga, look for Beginner class, Foundations class or All Levels classes where modifications are given for all levels.

Is there anything I need to know before class?

We recommend that you don't eat two hours before class. It is also recommended to not wear any jewelry for your own safety.

Can you practice aerial yoga while pregnant?

It is recommended to wait until after your first trimester to practice. Then with your doctor's permission, look for Beginner, Foundations and  Restorative style classes (such as Aerialax). The teachers can offer personalized modifications for you to ensure the comfort and safety of you and your baby.

Can seniors practice aerial yoga?

Yes! This is a great option for seniors as the hammock offers extra support and allows the practitioner to access positions that may be inaccessible on the mat alone. There is no age limit for aerial yoga.

Will it make me dizzy?

If you are prone to motion sickness, you may feel a bit dizzy or nauseous for your first or second class.  However, most people who experience this will feel better after they practice a couple times.

What happens if it is raining?

Since our aerial deck is outside the class will be cancelled.  Please check the weather in advanced. If it is rainy, wet or drizzling then classes are cancelled.

Is there a weight limit?

There is no weight limit. As long as you feel capable of exercising and stretching in our hammocks we welcome you to give it a try.

Since our classes are reserved to 10 spots we recommend you book online to ensure you reserve your spot.

PLEASE NOTE: If you reserve a space and don't cancel you will be charged for the class due to limited space/waiting lists.
